G2 Reverse Sweep MKOI To Qualify for MSI and LEC Spring Final
G2 Esports completed a remarkable comeback at the LEC Spring Playoffs, executing a reverse sweep of Movistar KOI in a thrilling five-game series. Overcoming a significant 9,000 gold deficit during the series, G2 secured the first-ever reverse sweep victory against the MKOI organization, showcasing exceptional resilience and mechanical skill from the roster.
The series featured explosive individual performances from star players on both teams, with early games setting the tone through back-and-forth competitive play. With their dominant victory, G2 advanced to the LEC Spring Finals and secured their fifth consecutive qualification for the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), one of League of Legends’ premier international tournaments.
Beyond the regional achievement, G2 guaranteed themselves spots at two major international competitions: MSI and the Esports World Cup. To prepare for these prestigious events, G2 will conduct a bootcamp in Korea at T1’s training facilities, positioning themselves alongside one of the world’s elite competitive esports organizations as they prepare for global competition.
