The Art of Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man reveals new Doctor Strange artwork
Marvel and Disney’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series, which premiered in January 2025 under showrunner Jeff Trammell, will be celebrated in a new art book. Published as part of The Art of Marvel Animation series, the book is authored by Ramin Zahed and will showcase the visual development and artwork behind the show.
The series has been well-received for its fresh approach to the Spider-Man origin story. Rather than focusing solely on Peter Parker’s journey, the show centers on the relationships and people most important to him, allowing the “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” concept to feel organically woven into the narrative rather than serving as a superficial tagline. This character-driven approach has resonated with audiences, helping the show stand out in a crowded landscape of superhero origin tales that often struggle to find their footing.
The art book will provide fans with an inside look at the creative process behind bringing the animated series to life, featuring concept art and design work that illustrates the show’s distinctive visual style. With the series having made an impact in its first season, the art book represents an opportunity for viewers to deepen their engagement with the show and take home a premium collection of its artwork.
