Vatira Bests M0nkey M00n in RLCS Paris Major Grand Final to Ignite GOAT Debate
Karmine Corp claimed their second esports title of 2026 by winning the RLCS Paris Major, defeating Twisted Minds 4-2 in the grand final. The victory marked Karmine Corp’s second Major championship in four tournament attempts this year.
The standout achievement was Axel “Vatira” Touret securing his record fourth Major win in Rocket League’s open era—a milestone that positions him among the game’s all-time elite players. Touret’s exceptional performance earned him tournament MVP honors as Karmine Corp delivered in front of a passionate home crowd in Paris.
Beyond Vatira’s historic achievement, the tournament featured another notable milestone. Alexandre “Extra” Paoli became the first former professional player to win a Rocket League Major as a coach, reflecting the growing sophistication of competitive play. Karmine Corp’s roster, anchored by the duo of Vatira and Tristan “Atow” Soyez, has established themselves as a formidable force, building on their championship run at the RLCS 2026 Kick-Off Weekend. Vatira’s fourth Major title strengthens his case in ongoing debates about Rocket League’s greatest player, particularly in comparison to Evan “M0nkey M00n” Rogez.
