Star Wars Jedi’s Cal Kestis Has ‘More Stories Coming’
Disney has confirmed that Cal Kestis, the protagonist of the Star Wars Jedi series, will continue to appear in future projects beyond the planned trilogy. A Lucasfilm representative stated “Never say never” regarding the character’s upcoming appearances, noting that Cal’s lightsaber is already featured in a Disney parks experience.
In 2024, Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm announced that the Star Wars Jedi series would follow a trilogy format rather than ending with Survivor. The studio has been actively developing the trilogy’s final chapter, though no specific release date or details have been shared since the initial announcement. The recent statement from Lucasfilm suggests that Cal Kestis’s story may extend beyond the three planned mainline games, potentially into other Star Wars media properties or experiences.
The inclusion of Cal’s lightsaber in Disney parks indicates the character’s expansion into the company’s broader entertainment ecosystem, suggesting potential applications in theme park attractions, merchandise, or other Star Wars multimedia ventures. While Lucasfilm hasn’t detailed what “more stories” entails—whether they’re games, television series, comics, or other formats—the statement reassures fans that the beloved Jedi character will remain part of the franchise’s future plans.
