Capcom Releases Resident Evil Requiem Demo On Switch 2
Capcom has released a playable demo for Resident Evil Requiem on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop, several months following the game’s full launch on the platform. The demo provides players with access to the early stages of the game, allowing them to experience the survival horror title before committing to the full purchase.
The game features protagonist Leon S. Kennedy alongside newcomer Grace Ashcroft as main characters in a lore-heavy narrative. According to Nintendo Life’s review, Resident Evil Requiem successfully balances classic survival horror elements with the more action-focused gameplay mechanics introduced in Resident Evil 4, creating what they describe as a well-paced experience that sets a new benchmark for the long-running series.
One important limitation of the demo is that save progress cannot be transferred to the full version of the game, meaning players will need to restart their journey when moving from the demo to the complete release.
This demo release represents Capcom’s continued support for the title following its initial launch and demonstrates an effort to reach additional players on the Switch 2 platform. The move allows potential buyers to sample the gameplay and determine if the game meets their expectations before making a purchase decision.
