New Intel Arc G3 Handheld Rumoured for Computex Reveal: Acer Predator Atlas 8 Coming Soon?
Intel is set to unveil its Panther Lake chipset for gaming handhelds at Computex under the Arc G3 brand. Acer has been confirmed as a launch partner, introducing the Predator Atlas 8, an 8-inch handheld device designed to slot between the company’s previously announced but unreleased Blaze 8 and Blaze 11 models, which featured AMD Ryzen processors.
The Atlas 8’s exact specifications remain uncertain, with reports suggesting it could feature either Intel’s Arc 3 or the more powerful Arc 3 Extreme GPU. The chipset choice will significantly impact performance and thermal characteristics in the portable form factor. Additional manufacturers including GDP, OneXPlayer, and MSI are suspected to announce Arc-based handhelds as part of the wider Panther Lake launch initiative.
This announcement marks Intel’s entry into the dedicated gaming handheld market, directly competing with existing devices in the space. The launch represents the company’s latest initiative in consumer gaming hardware following previous discrete graphics ventures.
