Is Paradox making a Lego Skylines city-building game? That’s what the latest Korean age ratings board update suggests
Paradox Interactive is developing LEGO Skylines, a LEGO-themed spinoff of its Cities: Skylines city-building simulation, according to a leaked Korean age ratings board listing. The game has not yet been officially announced, but the ratings classification suggests it’s in development and could be formally revealed during the upcoming summer gaming showcase season in June 2026.
The timing suggests LEGO Skylines could make an appearance at one of three major events: PlayStation State of Play, Summer Game Fest, or the Xbox Showcase. Each event is scheduled within a six-day window in early June, making them prime opportunities for publishers to unveil unannounced titles.
The concept of a LEGO-themed city builder appears natural for the franchise, combining the creative building mechanics of Cities: Skylines with LEGO’s iconic building block aesthetics. However, specific details about gameplay, platforms, and features remain unknown at this stage. Fans have expressed curiosity about how the LEGO adaptation will approach the simulation’s depth and complexity.
This announcement comes as Paradox and the Cities: Skylines community continue to address disappointment with Cities: Skylines 2’s launch. The sequel did not meet player expectations, prompting the publisher to issue refunds on DLC and commit to ongoing development improvements for both Cities: Skylines 1 and 2. The studio continues working on new content and expansions for the franchise, with Cities: Skylines 1 receiving its first new expansion in two years.
