Try One of 2026’s Best PS5 Games in New Resident Evil Requiem Demo
Capcom has released a demo for Resident Evil Requiem on the PlayStation Store, reversing its earlier stance against providing a pre-launch demo. The demo became available several months after the game’s February 2026 debut and features content from the early stages of the game.
The demo allows players to experience the opening Wrenwood section as protagonist Grace, with possible access to the Rhodes Hill care center area. Importantly, any progress or save data from the demo will not transfer to the full game if purchased, positioning the demo purely as a trial opportunity for prospective players to assess whether the title suits their interests.
Capcom has strategically timed the demo release with a promotional push, placing Resident Evil Requiem on sale through the PlayStation Store’s Days of Play promotion with a 30% discount. This coordinated release serves as both a marketing tool to drive sales during the discount window and an opportunity for players to sample the game before making a purchase commitment.
