EXCLUSIVE: First Look at EA Sports FC 26 The World’s Game Update
EA Sports has announced “The World’s Game” update for EA Sports FC 26 and EA Sports FC Mobile, rolling out on May 28 with a new international tournament mode launching on June 4. The update introduces a 48-team tournament featuring 53 fully licensed and playable national teams, including Brazil, England, France, Cabo Verde, and Uzbekistan. Of these teams, 41 are competing in the actual FIFA World Cup.
While EA Sports does not hold the official license for the FIFA World Cup itself—a result of the company’s 2023 transition from the FIFA series to EA Sports FC—the new tournament mode recreates the World Cup experience with officially licensed teams and new content. The update expands the game’s international football offering with additional licensed stadiums, including Gillette Stadium, BMO Field, and a newly created Central Maw stadium designed to capture the atmosphere of top-tier international football.
The World’s Game update is being rolled out across both the main EA Sports FC 26 title and the mobile version of the game, bringing the international tournament experience to multiple platforms.
