I’m trying to work out what Noctua’s brush-like Computex teaser might be and all I can come up with is a hairy fan
Noctua, the renowned PC cooling manufacturer, has posted a cryptic teaser ahead of Computex 2026, sparking speculation among the PC gaming community about what new product the company plans to unveil. The teaser image, shared on X on May 26, 2026, shows a brush-like or hairy object with minimal context—simply stating “something new is taking shape” alongside the #computex2026 hashtag.
The vague nature of the teaser has led to considerable confusion within the tech community about Noctua’s announcement. Initial theories range from a novel cooling fan design with brush-like elements to an entirely different cooling component featuring bristles or hair-like structures. Some observers have speculated that the image could represent pre-woven carbon fiber material, hinting at a product constructed from advanced composite materials.
Despite the ambiguity, the teaser has generated significant curiosity ahead of the technology showcase. Noctua is known for high-quality air and liquid cooling solutions, so the announcement is expected to remain within the cooling or thermal management space. The company’s decision to employ such an enigmatic marketing approach suggests they intend to generate buzz and anticipation in the days leading up to their Computex presentation. The actual reveal is expected shortly, as Computex Taipei takes place within a week of the teaser’s posting date.
