Rayman Legends Remake Reportedly Coming, And Part Of It May Look Much Different

Ubisoft’s long-rumored Rayman Legends remake, titled Rayman Legends: Retold, has reportedly leaked online and is scheduled for release in October 2026. The project, developed by the former Prince of Persia team at Ubisoft, has been in development for several years and survived recent industry-wide game cancellations.

Originally released in 2013, Rayman Legends failed to achieve the commercial success Ubisoft anticipated, though it was critically acclaimed as one of the finest platformers ever made. This remake aims to give the limbless platformer protagonist another shot in the market.

According to reports, an official reveal of Rayman Legends: Retold—also referred to internally as Project Steambot—is expected within the coming weeks. While Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the remake’s existence, the company has previously stated it is working on “The Future of Rayman,” aligning with these leaked reports. The involvement of the Prince of Persia team signals a significant investment in reimagining the beloved platformer franchise.
