Redmagic’s liquid-cooled gaming phone arrives with overclocked Snapdragon chip

Nubia has announced the international launch of the Redmagic 11S Pro, its latest flagship Android gaming phone. While the upgrade from the previous 11 Pro model is incremental rather than revolutionary, the device features an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version processor, positioning it as a high-performance device for mobile gaming.

The phone retains the core features that defined its predecessor: a large 7,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging, a 144Hz display, and an under-display camera. The standout feature remains the AquaCore cooling system, which combines a 24,000 RPM fan with a true liquid cooling mechanism—a sophisticated approach to thermal management that distinguishes gaming phones from standard devices.

However, the international version reflects broader industry constraints: the top-tier RAM and storage configurations have been reduced due to ongoing memory industry shortages. This represents a notable compromise in specifications compared to what might have been offered under normal supply conditions, demonstrating how market factors continue to impact even premium flagship devices.
