A New Tetris Game Is Heading To Switch Next Week

Tetris: The Grand Master 4 - Absolute Eye will launch on Nintendo Switch on June 4, 2026, publisher Arika announced. The game follows a 2025 Steam release and marks the title’s expansion to console platforms.

The Switch version includes several gameplay adjustments and technical modifications compared to its Steam counterpart. Arika has adjusted the difficulty of both MASTER and SHIRANUI modes, with corresponding changes to title names earned through gameplay. CPU Level 0, a difficulty option previously available in the Steam version’s SHIRANUI mode, has been removed entirely from the Switch release.

A notable implementation includes adherence to AI learning policy guidelines, reflecting evolving considerations around artificial intelligence in gaming. The Switch version also introduces a storage management system for replays, with replay save data capped at approximately 16MB—enough space to accommodate several hundred replays depending on the game mode. Players will have the ability to manually delete replay data to manage their storage.

These modifications suggest Arika carefully tailored the Switch experience for the console’s specific technical constraints and policy environment. The adjustments to difficulty modes indicate the publisher considered competitive play balance across different platforms and player skill levels.
