007 First Light Patch 1.01 Fixes Some Big Problems

IO Interactive has released patch 1.01 for 007 First Light, the James Bond simulator that recently launched. The update addresses several critical issues that emerged after release, ranging from stability crashes to gameplay behavior problems.

The patch is relatively compact in size, ranging from 200-500MB across standard PC and console platforms. However, players who purchased the game via the Microsoft Store on Windows should prepare for a significantly larger update, as this version requires a complete 46GB reinstall due to platform-specific deployment requirements.

Among the major fixes is the resolution of a crash that occurred during a cutscene featuring Bond and Moneypenny entering an elevator together. The patch also addresses issues affecting multiple story scenes, including sequences set in M’s office and a sequence involving a return to London that occurs during Chapter 5. Additionally, the update corrects guard AI behavior problems, where enemy guards were exhibiting overly aggressive behavior patterns. These fixes demonstrate IO Interactive’s swift response to launch day issues, though the substantial size of the Microsoft Store version may inconvenience some players.
