Block Blast has disappeared from Google’s Play Store
Block Blast, one of the world’s most successful puzzle games, has inexplicably disappeared from Google’s Play Store. The Tetris-like game remains available on Apple’s iOS App Store, but is no longer visible on Android through the Play Store’s charts, search functionality, or the developer Hungry Studio’s official page.
Neither Hungry Studio nor Google have provided comment on the removal as of the article’s publication. The sudden delisting is particularly significant given Block Blast’s massive popularity: the game reached 70 million daily active users and 300 million monthly active users globally across more than 200 countries and regions as of January 2026.
The game has dominated download charts throughout its release cycle. It topped the overall download rankings in 2025 according to Appmagic data, came second only to Roblox in 2024, and ranked as the fifth most-downloaded game in 2023, its debut year. The removal raises questions about the circumstances behind delisting a top-tier mobile game without any apparent public explanation or statement from either the developer or platform holder.
