Fortnite is Showing 10 Minutes of The Mandalorian and Grogu For Free
Fortnite is hosting a special watch party event featuring the first 10 minutes of the upcoming Star Wars movie “The Mandalorian and Grogu.” The feature is available on a new interactive, Nevarro-themed island within the game, allowing players to experience exclusive content from the upcoming film. The watch party event arrived as part of Fortnite’s v40.41 update on May 28, 2026, coinciding with scheduled server downtime and the game’s Community Day celebration on May 30.
This collaboration between Epic Games and Lucasfilm represents a surprise announcement that was not previously publicized to players. The partnership demonstrates the continued integration of popular media franchises into Fortnite’s live-service ecosystem. The initiative provides a unique promotional opportunity for Star Wars while offering Fortnite’s player base exclusive entertainment value, blending gaming with film marketing in an interactive format. The Nevarro-themed island creates an immersive Star Wars environment for players, enhancing the watch party experience beyond traditional streaming video content.
