Gobliiins Collection Is Out Now, and It’s One of the Most Robust Retro Packages on PS5
The Gobliiins Collection launched today on PlayStation 5, marking the first time the classic point-and-click adventure series has appeared on PlayStation or any other console platform. The compilation includes the first five games in the Gobliiins franchise, alongside a substantial collection of bonus extras, making it one of the most comprehensive retro packages currently available on PS5.
The Gobliiins series began in 1991 as a point-and-click adventure franchise, establishing itself as a charming and comedic gaming property. Over the three decades since its debut, the series has undergone significant visual evolution while maintaining its core gameplay identity. The latest installment in the franchise released just a few years ago, demonstrating the series’ continued relevance.
The original three Gobliiins titles in the collection are particularly remembered by gaming audiences for their comedic tone and charming presentation. Despite the dramatic visual evolution across the franchise’s history, each title has retained the distinctive gameplay style that defined the series.
The collection’s announcement came extremely recently—just last night—making today’s release a rapid turnaround for PS5 players interested in classic adventure gaming. The comprehensive nature of the collection, bringing five full games to a modern console platform for the first time, represents a significant preservation effort for the franchise.
