Grim Dawn’s gigantic final expansion will be out in July
Crate Entertainment has announced that Grim Dawn’s final expansion, Fangs of Asterkarn, will release in July. The expansion marks the largest content update for the action RPG to date.
According to the announcement, Fangs of Asterkarn will span over 6 square kilometers of new content, making it 190% as large as the previous expansion Ashes of Malmouth and 250% larger than Forgotten Gods. The expansion has grown significantly during development—earlier announcements indicated it would be approximately 3.55 square kilometers before expanding to 170% of Ashes of Malmouth’s size.
The expansion will introduce 54 new bosses for players to encounter throughout their journey into the land of Asterkarn. Given the massive size increase and the number of bosses, this expansion represents a substantial addition to Grim Dawn’s endgame content.
As the final expansion for Grim Dawn, Fangs of Asterkarn will conclude the game’s content roadmap. The action RPG, which has been supported with expansions and updates since its original launch, will see this as its last major planned content release.
