New ZeroSpace Trailer Takes Off at Insider Gaming Showcase

The Insider Gaming Showcase debuted on May 28, 2026, featuring 55 games with over a dozen world premieres. The event showcased diverse titles across multiple genres and gameplay styles.

Among the highlights was ZeroSpace, a cinematic sci-fi real-time strategy game blending classic RTS mechanics with story-rich campaign elements inspired by narrative RPGs like Mass Effect. The game will be playable during Steam Next Fest in June, with early access launching in Q3 2026.

Other notable reveals included Bassai-Dai, a stylized action-adventure that uses innovative ink brush-based gameplay to shape the game world in real-time, blending Greek and Japanese cultural influences. Hawthorn, developed by former Bethesda, BioWare, and Naughty Dog developers, offers a sandbox RPG experience focused on village building with personality-rich NPCs in a co-op or solo format.

The showcase also featured diverse indie titles: Project Madras, an open-world game celebrating Indian culture with dual identity gameplay between criminal networks and government work; Island of Winds, a narrative-driven adventure exploring 17th-century Iceland; Waters of Ragnarök, a post-Ragnarök tactical survival game set in a drowned Norse mythology-inspired world; and Lunar Strike, a speculative sci-fi exploration game set on the moon 100 years in the future.

Multiplayer offerings included Eggstinct, a four-player survival game where players rescue dinosaur eggs before an asteroid strikes Earth. Smaller titles like The Stinky Adventures of DungDung, a family-friendly game developed by Rexroth Studios based on a book by creator Darren Gladstone, rounded out the eclectic lineup.

The showcase demonstrates the breadth of independent and smaller studio game development, with genres ranging from tactical strategy to narrative adventures to cooperative gameplay experiences.
