RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic Gets Switch 2 Version & Paid Upgrade Path For Switch 1 Owners
Atari has released RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic for Nintendo Switch 2, with a paid upgrade available for Switch 1 owners. The Switch 2 version features mouse controls and enhanced resolution, improvements over the original Switch port which received an 8/10 review score in late 2024 but was criticized for lacking touch controls.
The upgrade for Switch 1 owners costs £4.50 / $5.00, while the standalone Switch 2 edition is priced at £26.99 / $29.99, both available on the Nintendo eShop. RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic compiles 95 scenarios from the 1999 and 2001 PC originals—RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2—alongside their expansions and quality-of-life features, offering a comprehensive experience from the acclaimed theme park simulation franchise.
Both versions provide access to the classic gameplay that made the original PC releases fan-favorites, now optimized for Nintendo’s latest hardware.
