Spike Chunsoft announced the Western release of Steins;Gate Re:Boot, confirming the visual novel remake will arrive in North America and Europe on October 29th, 2026. Pre-orders for the game are now available.
Steins;Gate Re:Boot is the second remake of the acclaimed Xbox 360 visual novel, following the previously released Steins;Gate Elite. The remake features significantly remapped visuals alongside new narrative content, including an entirely new ending scenario that expands the original story. The game’s score has been completely remade by composer Tsuyoshi Abo, providing a fresh audio experience for returning and new players.
The scenario for Re:Boot is based on the storyline from Steins;Gate Elite but has been refined and restructured for improved pacing and readability. The developers emphasize a smoother overall reading experience, suggesting careful attention to narrative flow and presentation. These refinements represent a substantial investment in making the classic visual novel more accessible and engaging for Western audiences.
