Stray just surprise-dropped on the Nintendo Switch 2

Stray, the award-winning 2022 sci-fi adventure game where players control a cat navigating a futuristic world, has surprise-launched on Nintendo Switch 2. The game, developed by BlueTwelve Studios and published by Annapurna Interactive, features an enhanced version specifically optimized for the new hardware.

The Switch 2 port includes upgraded visuals, 4K resolution support, improved frame rates, and Joy-Con mouse support that leverages the console’s motion controls—players can even use motion controls to knock over virtual beverages. The game is priced at $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop.

Existing Switch owners who already purchased the original version are eligible for a free upgrade to this enhanced edition. This release continues Stray’s multi-platform journey; the game is already available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Nintendo Switch 2 launch represents another successful port for the acclaimed title, expanding its reach to the latest Nintendo console while rewarding the established fanbase with free access to the improved experience.
