I Can’t Believe I’m Writing This: Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat Is Coming to PS5, PS4
Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat is coming to PlayStation 5 and PS4 as a new party game developed by Outright Games. The game will support up to four players and features gameplay heavily inspired by the Mario Party series, placing particular emphasis on minigames rather than extensive board game mechanics. Two main modes are available: a collection of minigames and a fast-paced hide-and-seek chase mode where players must locate the elusive Cat in the Hat. The developers have successfully adapted the distinctive illustrated art style of the original Dr. Seuss book to the game medium, with particular attention paid to visual details such as the animated raindrops featured in promotional materials. The announcement marks a new interactive interpretation of the classic children’s story. Notably, this is not the first video game adaptation of The Cat in the Hat, as a previous title was released on the original PlayStation.
