5 new PS5 games to play in June 2026
The PlayStation 5 game release calendar experiences a notable slowdown in June 2026 following an exceptionally busy May that delivered major titles including Mixtape, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, and 007 First Light. As the gaming industry shifts focus toward major announcements at events such as Sony’s State of Play and Summer Game Fest, June sees significantly fewer new releases, creating what has been described as “probably the quietest week in recent memory.”
Despite the reduced schedule, several notable games are launching for PS5 during the first week of June. Gothic 1 Remake (June 5th) stands out as the month’s most anticipated title, offering a modern reimagining of the classic action RPG. Earlier releases include BrokenLore: FOLLOW (June 1st), a psychological first-person horror experience, and Hell Clock (June 2nd), which combines roguelike and action RPG elements with dark fantasy gameplay featuring extensive loot and customizable builds. House Flipper Remastered Collection (June 4th) rounds out the early June offerings with an upgraded version of the popular home renovation simulation game.
The quieter June release schedule marks a deliberate pause in the publishing calendar, allowing players to catch up on backlog titles while the industry showcases upcoming projects at major events.
