Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream was April 2026’s best-selling game in the US

Nintendo’s Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has become the best-selling game in the United States for April 2026, following its launch on April 16th. The social simulation game generated over $41 million (£30.4m) in sales during its debut month, establishing itself as one of the year’s top-performing titles so far.

Capcom’s newly-released IP Pragmata claimed the second position on the monthly charts, while Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert secured third place. The top ten best-sellers were rounded out by MLB: The Show 26, Windrose, Pokémon Pokopia, Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, Starfield, Saros, and Mario Kart World.

The sales data comes from market research firm Circana, which noted in its April report that it included estimated digital sales figures for the first time in its analysis. This methodological shift provides a more comprehensive view of the gaming market by capturing both physical and digital revenue streams.
