5 new Xbox games to play in May 2026
The game release calendar is significantly slowing down in June 2026 compared to May’s crowded slate. While May was filled with numerous excellent titles, June is expected to offer fewer releases, positioning it as an ideal month for players to catch up on the year’s best games. However, Xbox Series X owners in particular will still have several worthwhile titles to explore during the month.
Among the recommended June releases are an anticipated RPG that ranks among 2026’s most hyped games, and a unique indie title centered around a skateboarding train. The article notes that Nintendo Switch 2 owners will likely be occupied with Star Fox during this period. While June’s calendar appears leaner, the piece suggests that Summer Game Fest could bring surprise shadow drop announcements that might further populate the month’s release schedule. Overall, June 2026 shapes up as a quieter period for game releases but still offers quality experiences for players looking to clear their backlog.
