1win Acquires Tundra Esports Dota 2 Roster
Tundra Esports has announced its departure from competitive Dota 2, with the organization’s entire roster transferring to 1win Esports. The five-player roster—Ivan ‘Pure’ Moskalenko, Bozhidar ‘bzm’ Bogdanov, Neta ‘33’ Shapira, Matthew ‘Ari’ Walker, and Matthew ‘Whitemon’ Filemon—will continue competing under their new organization banner.
Crucially, the roster will maintain its invitation to The International 2026, the premier annual Dota 2 championship. This preservation of competitive standing is possible because tournament invitations are assigned to the roster’s core players rather than to the organization itself, allowing the team to seamlessly transition between orgs without forfeiting their competitive position.
Tundra Esports has been one of the most recognizable and successful organizations in professional Dota 2, making their departure from the space a significant shift in the competitive landscape. The move underscores ongoing changes in esports organizational structures, where rosters and their accumulated competitive credentials have become increasingly valuable assets in the industry.
