A Great Mega Man-Like Went Free To Mark The Announcement Of Its Sequel
Domesticated Ant Games and publisher Dear Villagers announced Gravity Circuit 2 at The Mix Summer Game Showcase, with a 2027 release window. To celebrate the announcement, the original Gravity Circuit is being offered free to keep on Steam for two weeks.
Gravity Circuit is a retro-styled action-platformer inspired by Mega Man, set in a futuristic world populated by robots. The first game features 12 unique stages, each with distinct gameplay mechanics, delivering a classic ’90s run-and-gun sidescroller experience. Players control Kirk, a melee-focused protagonist who battles through the robot-filled world.
The sequel will expand on the first game’s foundations while introducing new elements. Gravity Circuit 2 will feature Cable, a new playable character with longer-range attacks compared to Kirk’s melee focus. The story is set years after the original, continuing the narrative of the robot-inhabited world facing threats. The sequel will expand the roster of customizable abilities available to players, with booster chips discoverable throughout the game that enhance gameplay options and character capabilities.
The first game’s free release appears to be a strategic move to introduce new players to the franchise ahead of the 2027 sequel release, while rewarding existing fans during the announcement period.
