5 SGF game announcements that haven’t had updates in years
Summer Game Fest 2026 brings renewed hope for players and developers awaiting news on games announced years ago. The article highlights longstanding reveals that have stalled without significant updates, including Clockwork Revolution, an RPG developed by inXile Entertainment that was showcased at the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase. The steampunk-themed game is set in Avalon, a Victorian-era metropolis where historical events have been secretly altered to benefit the elite. Originally announced to be in early development, Clockwork Revolution exemplifies the broader trend of game announcements that capture initial excitement but subsequently fade from public attention. As Summer Game Fest returns, these years-dormant projects represent opportunities for studios to reconnect with audiences and provide meaningful progress updates on anticipated titles.
