Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 and MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ PC handhelds announced at Computex

At Computex, Asus and MSI unveiled new gaming handheld devices as Intel pushes its Arc G3 GPU across multiple manufacturers. Asus announced the limited-edition ROG Xbox Ally X20, available exclusively as a bundle with Xreal R1 AR glasses. The device features significant upgrades over the standard Xbox Ally, including a vibrant 1400-nit OLED display, MicroSD Express support for faster storage expansion, and improved control schemes with TMR sticks and a versatile d-pad that toggles between four-way and eight-way configurations.

Additional improvements to the X20 include enhanced thermal management through upgraded chipset cooling, refined ergonomic design, and a premium smoke black translucent case with gold accents. MSI simultaneously launched the Claw 8 EX AI+, featuring Intel’s Arc G3 Extreme GPU. These announcements follow Intel’s earlier Computex reveals of Arc G3 and G3 Extreme handhelds from partners including Acer and OneXPlayer.

The announcement wave demonstrates the intensifying competition in the gaming handheld market, with manufacturers prioritizing display quality, storage performance, and control ergonomics. These upgrades reflect industry focus on delivering enhanced portable gaming experiences across multiple price points and feature sets.
