Corsair has shown off a military-themed PC case with fighter jet controls, and it’s still not as over the top as its see-through PSU

Corsair has unveiled a military-themed PC case featuring fighter jet-inspired controls alongside its transparent power supply, the HX1000i Shift Crystal. The showcase at Computex marks a significant milestone for the transparent PSU, which is transitioning from prototype status to official release with published specifications on Corsair’s website.

The HX1000i Shift Crystal is a 1000W, platinum-certified ATX power supply distinguished by its see-through design, allowing users to view internal components. The unit features RGB lighting with a 140mm RGB fan, combining aesthetic appeal with performance certification. The transparent design represents an unusual approach in PSU manufacturing, prioritizing visual accessibility over conventional opaque casings.

The military-themed case shown alongside the transparent PSU features fighter jet-inspired controls that add to its distinctive design language. The pairing of the case with the unconventional transparent power supply demonstrates Corsair’s commitment to innovative hardware aesthetics beyond conventional gaming peripherals.

The presence of both products at Computex, with the PSU now moving beyond prototype phase, suggests these designs will soon be available to consumers. The transparent PSU marks a continuation of the gaming hardware industry’s trend toward component visibility, following decades of transparent glass and plastic solutions in gaming hardware.
