Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered Release Date Revealed
Koei Tecmo has announced that Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered will launch on October 1, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The announcement came during a PlayStation State of Play presentation and marks the end of an indefinite delay the game faced earlier in 2026, when developers at Omega Force requested additional time to improve the quality and fully satisfy fans.
The remaster brings the classic Dynasty Warriors experience to current-generation hardware with enhanced graphics, delivering the hack-and-slash gameplay the series is known for—complete with the ability to mow down thousands of troops across vast battlefields.
In a notable addition to the roster, Koei Tecmo has added Ziluan from Dynasty Warriors Origins as a new playable character, wielding a one-handed sword weapon as his default armament.
A significant change accompanies the announcement: the original Nintendo Switch version will no longer be available for purchase. Koei Tecmo apologized for the decision and encouraged affected players to experience the remaster on alternative platforms, including the newly announced Switch 2 version.
