EA announces national line-up for FC 26’s unofficial world cup mode
EA has announced the team line-up for an unofficial world cup mode launching in FC 26 on June 4th. The new mode, called “The World’s Game,” features a 48-team tournament structure with 53 countries available overall, with 41 of the competing nations participating in the real-world tournament this summer.
The world cup mode will include a dedicated events hub, a Festival of Football-themed campaign, and additional content for players to engage with throughout the tournament period. This represents a significant expansion of seasonal content for the sports simulation title, allowing players to manage and compete with their favorite national teams in a structured international tournament format.
The featured nations span multiple continents and include traditional football powerhouses such as Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, England, France, Germany, and Ghana, alongside emerging football nations. The roster creates a diverse selection of playable teams for the global player base, reflecting the international nature of modern football competition.
