‘Flydigi Vader 5S’ wired Xbox controller review — It’s a bit ugly, but it has some fantastic features I wish more Xbox controllers had by default
The Flydigi Vader 5S is a wired Xbox controller that introduces several advanced features for competitive and casual gaming. The standout feature is its manual stick tension rings, which allow players to adjust analog stick sensitivity in real-time without software—a more intuitive solution than Xbox’s Elite controller implementation. The device is equipped with Hall Effect sticks, prized for their durability and precision, along with trigger locks and multiple configurable buttons for extensive customization. Ergonomically, the controller is praised for its comfortable design and responsive feel across sticks, triggers, and bumpers. As Flydigi’s first officially Xbox-licensed controller, it brings professional-grade customization options to the mainstream market. The primary drawback is its wired-only design, which limits mobility for some players. While the controller offers impressive technical features that exceed standard Xbox controllers, reviewers note that its aesthetic design choices are polarizing and may not appeal to all users.
