Beloved Mega Man-Style Platformer Is Getting A Sequel Next Year
Domesticated Ant Games and Dear Villagers have announced Gravity Circuit 2, a sequel to their acclaimed 2023 Mega Man-style platformer for Nintendo Switch. The original game garnered “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam despite initially receiving limited coverage, and the announcement reflects its strong reception among players.
The sequel introduces expanded gameplay mechanics and character options. Players can now control both Kai and Cable, with Cable offering a new long-range combat approach that diversifies the platforming action. The game will also include new abilities and Booster Chips that build on the progression systems of the original.
The reveal trailer demonstrates a polished presentation that builds on the strong foundation of the 2023 original. Gravity Circuit 2 is scheduled for a 2027 launch on Nintendo Switch.
The announcement validates a title that found success through word-of-mouth recommendations after its initial release. The extended development timeline through 2027 suggests the developers are investing significant effort into expanding and refining the experience.
