GTA 6 Could Sell 35 Million Copies By April 2027, Report Says
Piper Sandler, a leading research firm, has released a new investor report on Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games and the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The report rated Take-Two’s stock as “overweight,” indicating growth potential, and set a price target of $280 per share—significantly higher than the stock’s June 1 closing price of $226.98 and above the company’s all-time high of approximately $265.
The optimism surrounding Take-Two centers on the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6. Piper Sandler identified several near-term catalysts expected to drive the stock’s growth, including the release of a third GTA 6 trailer, the opening of preorders, and the launch of the game’s marketing campaign.
Most notably, the report predicts that GTA 6 will achieve sales of approximately 35 million units by April 2027. This ambitious projection underscores industry confidence in the franchise’s continued dominance and market appeal, positioning GTA 6 as a potential blockbuster title capable of generating substantial revenue for Take-Two in the coming years.
