Keychron’s carbon fiber concept is the skinniest keyboard I’ve ever typed on

Keychron unveiled a carbon fiber concept keyboard at Computex, demonstrating an exceptionally thin form factor. The keyboard, which the reviewer describes as “the skinniest keyboard I’ve ever typed on,” showcases Keychron’s engineering capabilities in pushing the boundaries of mechanical keyboard design.

The standout feature of this concept piece is its minimalist profile combined with durability. Despite the ultra-thin carbon fiber construction, the keyboard maintains structural integrity and feels solid during typing. The design integrates low-profile magnetic switches, positioning it as one of the world’s lowest-profile magnetic keyboard options.

Keychron CEO Nick Xu presented the concept during the Computex event, emphasizing the company’s ability to achieve extreme thinness without sacrificing build quality or typing experience. The carbon fiber material choice underscores Keychron’s focus on premium materials alongside its space-saving engineering.

While currently only a concept demonstrator, there is potential for this design to reach consumers. According to statements made at the event, Keychron is considering bringing this keyboard to market as a potential future product.
