Kirby Air Riders For Switch 2 Has Received A Small Update Today
Kirby Air Riders on Nintendo Switch 2 has received a small update today, bringing the game to Version 1.3.3. The update focuses on expanding amiibo compatibility, introducing support for two new amiibo figures: Sword Kirby & Dragoon and Noir Dedede & Hydra. These amiibo were initially announced earlier this year in March but have not yet received an official release date.
The new amiibo figures expand the game’s functionality by allowing players to update their Main Menu Figure to match the rider and air ride machine combination of the scanned amiibo. Players can then use these matched figures to compete with figure players (FP) in specific game modes. These figure players can be trained and improved through gameplay, adding a progression element to the amiibo integration.
While Kirby Air Riders continues to receive updates, the game may not be receiving as extensive support as it once did. The update represents Nintendo’s ongoing commitment to the amiibo ecosystem and extending the value proposition of these physical collectibles. The continued amiibo support indicates Nintendo’s intention to maintain long-term engagement with the player base through these collectible figures.
