Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage announced for Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls at Sony State of Play

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has revealed three new playable characters during Sony’s State of Play presentation in June 2026. The trio—Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage—will form the “Knights of Doom” team alongside Doctor Doom, who leads the group of supervillains in Arc System Works’ comic book fighting game.

Each character features distinct gameplay mechanics. Magneto channels his magnetic abilities into explosive attacks reminiscent of his appearances in earlier Marvel vs. Capcom titles. Green Goblin utilizes aerial mobility and combo potential, while Carnage is positioned as an aggressive, close-range brawler. New gameplay footage shown at the event demonstrated the characters’ abilities against established roster members including Iron Man, Storm, and Spider-Man.

The announcement brings the game’s confirmed roster to 14 characters, with the Knights of Doom marking the penultimate team reveal—leaving only one final team to be announced before launch. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is scheduled to release on August 6, 2026, and will be the latest fighting game from Arc System Works, known for their acclaimed Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ titles. The reveal comes in the final stretch before launch, maintaining momentum for one of the most anticipated fighting game releases of the year.
