Nordic Game attendance rises by 6% in 2026
Nordic Game 2026 recorded a 6% increase in attendance compared to the previous year, reflecting strong international interest in the gaming industry conference held in Malmö. The event drew over 1,100 companies from 59 countries, demonstrating the conference’s growing significance as a global gathering point for game developers and industry professionals.
The conference featured an extensive speaker program with 179 speakers presenting across five stages. Notable industry figures participated, including Christofer Sundberg, CEO of Liquid Swords, design director Gerardo Basurto from Embark Studios, Adam Stjärnljus and Klas Eriksson representing Wishfully, and Jennifer Svedberg-Yen from Sandfall Interactive. This diverse speaker lineup highlighted the conference’s appeal to studios of varying sizes and specializations.
The event’s reach extended well beyond attendees present in Malmö. Main stage sessions were streamed live across multiple platforms—YouTube, Twitch, and Stream—garnering over 150,000 viewers. This multi-platform streaming approach significantly amplified the conference’s impact, making key presentations accessible to a global audience of developers and industry professionals unable to attend in person.
Program director Jacob Riis expressed enthusiasm about the results, noting the strong international participation and community growth. The 6% attendance increase alongside the substantial streaming viewership suggests Nordic Game continues to establish itself as a major event in the gaming industry calendar, competing alongside other significant conferences for developer attention and industry presence.
