Jen-Hsun says RTX Spark ‘is 100% awesome at everything everybody expects the PC to do, and it can do more’
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has described the company’s new RTX Spark system-on-chip (SoC) as “100% awesome at everything everybody expects the PC to do, and it can do more.” The RTX Spark, also known as N1X, is a collaboration between Nvidia and MediaTek that combines a custom Arm processor core with an Nvidia RTX Blackwell GPU core. The two components are connected via Nvidia’s NVLink technology and share a unified LPDDR5x memory pool, enabling tight integration between CPU and GPU processing.
The chip was unveiled at Computex and is positioned toward gaming applications, though its higher-capacity 128 GB configuration suggests it may also serve other computing purposes beyond gaming. The design reflects Nvidia’s approach to creating specialized hardware that meets the performance demands of modern computing. Huang’s enthusiastic endorsement at the press Q&A underscores Nvidia’s confidence in the new architecture as a significant advancement for personal computing and gaming performance.
