Phantom Blade Zero Delay Moves Launch to Late October 2026
Phantom Blade Zero, one of the most anticipated PS5 action games of 2026, has been delayed by 50 days. Developer S-Game announced the postponement following the game’s appearance at Sony’s State of Play June 2026 presentation. The action-RPG’s launch has been pushed from September 9, 2026, to October 29, 2026, with releases planned for PS5 and PC.
CEO and game creator Soulframe shared the news via the studio’s official social media accounts, offering “sincere apologies” to players. In explaining the delay, S-Game stated that while a 50-day postponement “cannot solve everything,” it provides sufficient time to complete several “clearly defined and genuinely important improvements.” The studio did not elaborate on the specific nature of these improvements.
The delay removes the game from September’s crowded PlayStation release schedule. Despite the postponement, momentum around the title remains strong following its State of Play debut, with S-Game promising a detailed gameplay deep dive later in the summer.
