Stuntman Hollywood revealed at Sony State of Play, coming soon to PS5

Stuntman: Hollywood, the first new entry in the racing game series since 2007’s Stuntman: Ignition, was revealed at Sony’s State of Play event and is coming to PlayStation 5. The arcade racer revives a beloved franchise that originated on PS2 and PS3 hardware, bringing back the series’ core appeal of over-the-top vehicular action and spectacular stunts.

The game features licensed vehicles from popular Hollywood franchises, including Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Death Race. Players will drive iconic vehicles like the DeLorean and KITT, performing stunts on fictional movie sets while receiving instructions from an in-game director. Additional movie licenses from Universal’s catalog are expected to be announced.

Gameplay focuses on arcade-style racing combined with precision stunt execution. Players must drift and jump their vehicles at precise moments to score points, creating spectacular crashes and destruction sequences. The game draws inspiration from titles like Burnout and Split/Second, emphasizing chaotic action and cinematic moments.

Stuntman: Hollywood is being developed by Saber Interactive, known for games like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and World War Z. The announcement marks a surprising return for a franchise that had been dormant since the Xbox 360 era, presenting a fresh take on the original gameplay formula while incorporating real-world movie and television properties.
