Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis gets new trailer featuring Lara, Natla and Larson, as well as slight a delay

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a complete reimagining of the 1996 original developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog and published by Amazon Game Studios, has been delayed from its originally planned 2026 release window to February 12, 2027.

The delay was announced during Sony’s State of Play showcase in June 2026, where a new gameplay trailer was revealed for the Unreal Engine 5-powered remake. The trailer showcased redesigned stages from the original game, including Peru’s lost valley and the crumbling ruins of Greece, with completely overhauled visuals and modern gameplay mechanics.

Legacy of Atlantis will launch simultaneously across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12, 2027. For Switch 2, Amazon Game Studios confirmed the game will deliver “the same cinematic scale and fluid gameplay, fully optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware — at home, on the go, or wherever adventure calls.”

The game features protagonist Lara Croft alongside returning characters including Natla and Larson. Notable elements include encounters with dinosaurs, including feathered variants. The Standard Edition will cost $59.99 and includes the full game and an Early Access Survivor Outfit, while the $69.99 Deluxe Edition offers early access 48 hours before launch on February 10, plus the Early Access Survivor Outfit.

The announcement coincided with confirmation that the mainline Tomb Raider: Catalyst is also scheduled for 2027.
