Xbox’s Next First-Party Release Is Age Of Empires: Mobile For PC

Microsoft has confirmed that Age of Empires: Mobile will make its PC debut on June 23rd, 2026, serving as Xbox’s next major first-party release. The game will launch simultaneously across Steam, the Microsoft Store, and through PC Game Pass, bringing the popular mobile strategy experience to traditional PC gaming with a tailored experience.

The PC edition features a mouse and keyboard-optimized interface specifically designed for desktop play, along with enhanced visual fidelity supporting 4K resolution. The version will maintain full crossplay compatibility with the mobile version of the game, enabling players on both platforms to participate together in large-scale shared battles and alliance warfare systems.

This announcement positions Age of Empires: Mobile as Microsoft’s primary first-party offering for June 2026, with other anticipated titles including Halo: Campaign Evolved and Gears of War: E-Day expected to arrive in subsequent months between July and September. The decision underscores Microsoft’s broader strategy of extending successful live-service mobile titles to PC audiences while leveraging Game Pass as a key distribution channel to reach subscribers across multiple devices and platforms.
