CoD Season 4 Patch Notes Detail SG-12 Nerf, Anti-Cheat Updates, And More

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 4 launched on June 4, 2026 at 12 p.m. EDT (9 a.m. PDT for West Coast players). The new season brings significant balance changes and fresh content across both titles, continuing the robust post-launch support Treyarch has maintained throughout the year.

The update includes notable weapon adjustments, most prominently a nerf to the SG-12 shotgun, which has been a dominant force in multiplayer. Treyarch also deployed anti-cheat improvements and introduced a new self-revive kit for Warzone, adding a new tactical dimension to battle royale gameplay. For Zombies players, the season includes map improvements that refine existing content.

Season 4 content includes a new battle pass, an additional operator for the Guild faction, new weapons, and fresh multiplayer and Warzone maps. A standout addition is a “classic” multiplayer moshpit playlist inspired by Black Ops 2, which removes modern movement options like omnimovement, sliding, and wall-jumping to recreate the feel of previous Call of Duty titles. Both multiplayer and Warzone also debut new Ranked Play seasons, offering competitive players fresh challenges and ranking progression.
