Team17 has laid off members of its marketing and communications department
UK developer-publisher Team17 has conducted layoffs within its marketing and communications department following a review of its business operations. While the company declined to specify the exact number of affected employees, at least two individuals confirmed via social media posts that Team17’s entire internal PR team has been eliminated.
Team17 released a statement acknowledging the restructuring, thanking the affected employees: “Following a review of our business operations, we have made changes to our marketing and communications structure. We would like to thank the colleagues affected for their contribution to Team17 and the support they have provided to our game.”
The scale of the redundancies remains unclear, as Team17 has not disclosed the total number of positions eliminated. The layoffs represent significant restructuring of the company’s communications infrastructure, though it is unknown how these changes may impact Team17’s future operations, game announcements, and public-facing communications.
