Toy Story is the next series to get Digital Eclipse’s acclaimed retro collection treatment, and a remaster of Toy Story 3 is also on the way

Digital Eclipse, the studio renowned for its preservation and restoration work, is releasing a comprehensive collection of classic Toy Story games to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The collection, titled Toy Story: Retro Roundup, will include several beloved titles spanning from 1995 to 2001: the original Toy Story, Toy Story 2, the 3D platformer Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!

In addition to the retro collection, Digital Eclipse is also developing a standalone “modern remaster” of Toy Story 3, giving the critically acclaimed third installment a contemporary refresh.

Both the collection and the remastered Toy Story 3 are scheduled to launch in October, aligning with the broader 30th anniversary celebrations for the Toy Story franchise. This announcement follows Digital Eclipse’s recent success with the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, continuing the studio’s established reputation for thoughtful game preservation and restoration through their acclaimed Gold Master Series.
