There’s No Collector’s Edition for Marvel’s Wolverine PS5, and Fans Aren’t Happy
Marvel’s Wolverine, the upcoming PS5 exclusive action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games, has opened pre-orders following a new gameplay demonstration. However, fans are disappointed after the publisher confirmed there will be no Collector’s Edition available for the title.
Sony announced two purchase options for the game: a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. Despite this offering, community members have been requesting information about whether a premium Collector’s Edition would be released, similar to editions typically offered for major PlayStation releases.
Insomniac Games confirmed via social media comments that no Collector’s Edition is planned for Marvel’s Wolverine. These special editions usually feature physical collectibles such as statues, artwork books, or other merchandise bundled with the game, and are often released at a premium price point.
The announcement has generated disappointment among fans who were hoping for a more elaborate physical release option. Collector’s Editions have become expected for major AAA releases, particularly for highly anticipated titles like this superhero game, and their absence represents a departure from common practices for releases of this scale.
