World War 3 Servers Shutting Down Soon
World War 3, the free-to-play military first-person shooter developed by New Generation Games, will be shutting down permanently on August 3, 2026. After that date, the multiplayer servers will go offline and the game will no longer be playable.
The developer announced the decision to end support for the game, thanking the community for their years of support. In their statement, New Generation Games acknowledged the players who had provided feedback, reported issues, created content, and kept the community active throughout the game’s lifetime.
While the studio did not provide explicit reasons for the shutdown, the closure appears to be connected to the game’s declining player count. The timing and nature of the announcement suggest that maintaining the live service was no longer economically viable for the developer.
For players, the August 3 deadline marks the end of an era for the title, as there will be no further updates or server access after that point.
